  Pre-Ballet/Tap
Ages 3-4
One class per week recommended

Designed for the youngest students, this class stresses coordination, large motor skills development, musical awareness, spatial awareness and listening skills.
   
  Beginning Ballet/Tap
Ages 4-5
One class per week recommended

An early introduction for classical ballet, this class focuses on exercises to strengthen and improve coordination, flexibility, musical rhythm and counting, direction and space use. Very basic ballet hand and foot positions will be learned in conjunction with short improvisation and set dances.
   
  Preparatory Ballet/Tap
Ages 5-6
Two classes per week recommended

This class further develops the beginning ballet movement skills with the addition of the basic ballet positions, primary steps and movement combinations.
   
  Dance for Boys
Ages 7+
One class per week

No Girls Allowed! A positive environment designed to teach boys the unique skills needed for their role in dance. This class will cover basic jumps, tricks, Jazz, tumbling, theatre dance and Ballet Techniques. Fun and energetic.
   
  Ballet I
Ages 7-8
Two classes per week recommended

Ballet I features introductory ballet classes in barre technique and improvisation.
Other forms of dance begin (Tap).
   
  Ballet II
Ages 8-9
Prerequisite: One prior year of ballet experience & by instructor placement
Two classes per week recommended

Students begin a more formal study of classical ballet through age-appropriate skill development, creative expression and music appreciation to develop self-discipline necessary to continue the study of classical ballet.
Other forms of dance begin (Jazz, Character).
   
  Ballet III
Ages 10-11
Prerequisite: By instructor placement
Two classes per week required, three classes per week recommended

Ballet III features barre technique, floor technique and improvisation. Students develop practical skills, muscular self-control and basic coordination.
Other forms of dance begin (Modern).
   
  Ballet IV
Ages 12-13
Prerequisite: By instructor placement
Three classes per week required, four classes per week recommended

Students are exposed to a variety of more advanced skills, including muscle control, proper posture, balance and expressiveness. Pointe work begins.
   
  Ballet V
Ages 13-14
Prerequisite: By instructor placement
Four classes per week required, five classes per week recommended

Ballet V concentrates on the mastery of more complex movements and combinations. The ongoing development of performance skills is stressed.
   
  Ballet VI
Ages 15
Prerequisite: By instructor placement
Five classes per week required

This level continues mastery of increasingly complex movements. Basic partnering begins.
   
  Ballet VII
Ages 16
Prerequisite: By instructor placement
Five classes per week required

Training is in further development. The mastery of style and performance skills is refined.
   
  Ballet VIII
Ages 17+

Five classes per week required

This level of study further develops and defines artistic and techncal virtuosity, leading towards professional performance capabilties.

  Character Dance
Ages 8+
Character dance takes folk dance from all over the world and combines them with elements of classical dance. Students learn original dances from many countries including Poland, Hungary, Russia and Spain, as well as Character dances from various classical ballets.
   
  Jazz Dance
Ages 8+
Based on the well known Luigi jazz technique, students will learn jazz oriented movement and dance techniques using extension and strength.  These skills blend together to produce a very sophisticated and fun dance style for all ages.
   
  Modern Dance
Ages 10+
Modern technique classes provide a unique and challenging approach to dance. Students learn how to strengthen and develop natural movement into artistic expression. Classes include the foundations of the Graham (percussive qualities), Limone (circular qualities) and Cunningham (angular qualities) techniques. Classes are appropriately designed for different ages and skill levels.
   
  Tap Dance
Ages 7+
Tap technique classes are based on the traditional elements of Broadway tap, Al Gilbert tap technique, and rhythm tap technique. The beginning levels of tap will focus on the basic elements and steps of the Al Gilbert technique. The students will learn basic combinations and steps appropriate for beginners. The mid and upper levels of tap will continue with the Al Gilbert technique and learn Broadway as well as the more advanced rhythm tap techniques.
   
  Open Teen/Adult Ballet/Character/Jazz/Tap Classes
Ages 12+
These classes are designed to accommodate a wide range of ages and physical skills. Teens and Adults gain joy, flexibility and strength through the study of dance. The only requirement for this class is the desire to dance.
   
  Open Ballroom/Latin Dance
Ages 10+
This enjoyable class is open to anyone who wants to learn to dance. A partner is not required. Everyone will learn how to do the steps.
   
  Functional Fitness
Ages 10+
Teen/Adult Functional Fitness is a group training program (non-choreographed) that integrates core training, balance, full body strength, flexibility, and more. The class incorporates the use of medicine balls, resistance bands, stability balls, and balance disc. Equipment provided.
   
  "Into the Arts"
Ages 4-21, with special needs
"Into the Arts" is a program that offers children with special needs the opportunity to participate in performing arts activities. This unique program provides an individualized, specially designed curriculum encompassing dance, creative movement, musical theatre and singing activities for students ages 4 to 21 years. Activities are carefully selected and appropriately modified by the Occupational Therapist instructor to enable participation at the various skill levels of the students in each class. Also, through the use of instructional assistants, a low ratio of students per instructor is maintained in each class.
